Corsair gets into GPU market, Sharp reveals 8K TV and the keyboard that mimics a typewriter

In this week’s PCR Product Roundup, we take a look at some of the latest innovative products in the channel.

Following a stint on Kickstarter, the Qwerkywriter keyboard (pictured) is now available for pre-order for $329 (£212). Designed to mimic a typewriter, this keyboard uses Bluetooth to pair with devices including tablets, desktops and smartphones.

Sharp has announced plans to sell an 8K TV this October, which provides 16 times as many pixels as 1080P high definition.

The screen comes in at 85-inches and costs 16 million yen, which is around £86,000.

Meanwhile, MSI and Corsair have announced a new partnership where both firms have developed a new graphics card with cooling known as the GeForce GTX 980TI Sea Hawk.

Sea Hawk utilises Corsair’s H55 closed loop liquid cooling solution, while the micro-fin copper base takes care of an efficient heat transfer to the high-speed circulation pump.

It comes with a memory size of 6GB GDDR5 and a memory clock speed of 7,096MHz.

Plus, HyperX has unveiled the HyperX Fury DDR3L high-performance DIMMS, as well as the HyperX Impact DDR4 SO-DIMMs.

HyperX Fury DDR3L runs at 1.35V of power and can reach frequencies of 1,600MHz and 1,866MHz.

The firm has also developed the HyperX Savage DDR4 memory, which comes with speeds of up to 3,000MHz.

The Quick Fire XTi mechanical gaming keyboard by Cooler Master has also officially launched in the UK, which features UV coated keys and a multicolour per-key backlighting system built with 100 per cent Authentic Cherry MX switches.The keyboard is priced at £139.99 and will be available from early October.

The company has also released the V Series Power Supply Unit, which features Silencio FP Technology and will cost £89.99.

Phillips Monitors’ brand license partner MMD has released the new 34-inch Brilliance Curved UltraWide display. It will retail for £799.99 and features a resolution of 3440×1440 and 1.07 billion colours.

PC power supplier Be Quiet! has extended the Dark Power Pro 11 series with three new models that will run at 550W, 650W and 750W.

The new model versions in the Dark Power Pro 11 series are now available with prices ranging from $149/£115/€154 (550 Watt), $164/£130/€175 (650 Watt) and $179/£150/€199 (750 Watt) respectively.

Sennheiser has upgraded its CIRCLE headset range, which consists of 10 variants. The headsets offer CIRCLE Flex dual hinge ear cups, in-line call control units and a magnetic holder that allows easy fixing to work desks.

In addition, HP has launched a new Pro Series of desktops, notebooks and an all-in-one (AIO) PC, along with printers and multi-function printers.

New devices include the HP ProBook 400 G3 series, HP ProOne 400 G2 AIO, HP ProDesk 400 series, HP ProDesk 400 G2 Desktop Mini and the ProDesk 400 G3 Microtower, as well as a range of printers.

ASUS has also revealed a new small form-factor gaming desktop dubbed the ROG G20CB. It comes with eight million customisable LED effects and sixth-gen Intel Core CPUs, plus Nvidia GeForce graphics.

The ASUS ROG G20CB will be available from early November in the UK for £1,499.99.

PC gaming vendor Aerocool has announced the addition of two new chassis to the PGS-A product series. The Aero-800 and Aero-500 chassis have been designed to target gamers with a limited budget and boast a removable magnetic dust filter along with various ports, including a USB 3.0 and 2.0.

Distributor Entatech has also announced the launch of the EZTIP Reversible Micro USB Connector to its product portfolio. 

Lastly, Oki has announced that it will launch a brand new printer at Labelexpo Europe 2015.
