With business use set to surge in 2016, are you selling drones yet?

Earlier this year we wrote about the idea that drones could offer resellers a potential new revenue stream.

At Computing’s Enterprise Mobility and Application Management Summit 2015, Rentokil’s global director of enterprise, Anthony Meadows, revealed the firm is looking in to using drones for bird pest control, which got us thinking about other types of businesses that might benefit from using drones and who they’ll be looking ot buy them from.

It looks like we may have been on to something. December 2015 will see the UK’s first ever drone expo. The UK Drone Show will take place at the NEC in Birmingham on 5th and 6th of December, and the show’s project manager Oliver O’Brien believes that we’ll see the business use of drones surge in 2016.

“Some industries started using drones a few years ago, but suddenly more and more businesses are realising the advantages and jumping on the bandwagon,” said O’Brien.

“In the business arena, drones are definitely the next big thing for most industries. The UK Drone Show is the best place for companies to explore their options and discover just how UAV technology can be integrated into their business.”

The event will feature exhibitors including drone manufacturers, UAV gadget and specialist software suppliers, demonstrations of the latest tech and expert speakers who will provide an insight into the future of drones.
