US prices and packaging for Intel’s Skylake processors leaked

Alleged US prices of Intel’s upcoming Skylake processors have been leaked online.

The leak comprises a total of 10 processors in three tiers, including the 95W tier, which features the K Series.

According to Benchlife, the Intel Core i7-6700K will retail for $313 (£200), while the Core i5-6600K is priced at $225 (£144).

The second tier includes the 65W range, featuring the Core i7-6700, Core i5-6600, Core i5-6500 and Core i5-6400, with prices varying from $282 (£180) to $170 (£109).

The last tier is the 35W tier, which combines the ‘T Series’. These lower powered processors include the Core i7-6700T, Core i5-6600T, Core i5-6500T and Core i5-6400T, with prices starting at $170 (£109).

The processors are expected to be officially unveiled during Gamescom this week, which runs from August 6th to August 9th.

In addition, images depicting the retail packaging for the Skylake Core i7-6700K and i5-6600K have also been leaked online via Benchlife (pictured below).

The leak also includes box shots of the processors, which allege that the Core i7-6700K will come with four cores with support for up to eight threads, as well as 8MB of L3 cache.

The Core i5-6600K box shots show that that the chip also has four cores and supports four threads, while both boast integrated Intel HD Graphics 530.

Plus, both processors support Turbo Boost 2.0 technologies and dual channel DDR3L and DDR4 memory.

This news comes after Asus debuted a range of mini-PC prototypes powered by Skylake during Computex 2015.
