The etailer turns 20 on July 15th

Amazon launches its own Black Friday style summer deals day

Amazon will be reaching its 20th birthday on July 15th, and the etailer is launching a Prime Day to celebrate the occasion.

The company’s Prime Day has been named as a global shopping event that promises to offer ‘more deals than Black Friday’.

Designed exclusively for Prime members in the UK, US, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Austria, customers will find deals starting from midnight on July 15th.

Some deals will start as often as every 10 minutes, and customers will receive fast delivery thanks to their Prime account with the etailer.

Plus, there will also be a range of lightning deals available in every department, from electronics to clothing.

Greg Greeley, VP of Amazon Prime, said: “Prime Day is a one-day only event filled with more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members around the globe. Members tell us every day how much they love Prime and we will keep making it better.

“If you’re not already a Prime member, you’ll want to join so you don’t miss out on one of the biggest deals extravaganzas in the world.”

Those customers who don’t want to miss out on the deals can do so by signing up for a 30-day trial of Prime.

This news comes after Amazon announced it will roll out a one hour delivery service in the UK.
