Symantec has appointed Keith Bird as vice president and managing director for Northern Europe.
The industry veteran will be responsible for the UK, Ireland and the Nordic region. Bird will play a key role for Symantec in driving business growth across the region and brings industry experience spanning 30 years in general management, business development and sales leadership.
Kevin Isaac, senior vice president of EMEA at Symantec said: “We are delighted to have landed someone of Keith’s calibre for this crucial senior role. Keith has an impressive track record of leading companies through growth and is very well respected in the industry. With Keith’s leadership we know that our UK and Northern European Region will continue to go on to great things as we protect our customers from an ever-increasing threat landscape."
The news comes after Symantec announced its plans to separate into two publicly traded companies.
