Asus aims to capture the perfect selfie with new smartphone

Asus reveals hand bag style tablet and Apple Watch rival

Today at Computex 2015 Asus unveiled a range of new devices, including the ZenPad 8, which looks similar to a hand bag.

It features ergonomic rounded edges and is available with LTE/Wi-Fi connectivity.

It also features an interchangeable cover design, which allows users to customise their device with back covers.

The Zen Case offers users five different colours to choose from, while its audio cover brings 5.1 channel surround sound. It is also able to extend the ZenPad’s battery life by up to 15 hours.

The ZenWatch series has been bolstered with the ZenWatch 2, which is powered by Android Wear and produced in partnership with Google.

Rivalling Apple’s Apple Watch, it features a digital crown to allow users to interact with the device and a magnetic charger.

It is available in two sizes and three stainless steel case covers, along with 18 different strap colour combinations.

Asus has also developed a device to help capture the perfect selfie.

The smartphone, which has been dubbed the ZenFone Selfie features front and rear 13MP PixelMaster cameras, with dual LED Real Tone flash and dual-colour.

It also boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 192×1080, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to protect the device from scratches.

The company also showcased a range of all-in-one (AIO) PCs, including the 23.8-inch Zen AiO Z240IC and 21.5-inch Zen AiO Z220IC.

Plus, Asus revealed its new 32-inch 4K ProArt PA329Q monitor for professionals.

It features 840×2160 resolution on a 16:9 aspect ratio IPS display, has a pixel density of 138 PPI and provides over eight million pixels.

Asus has announced new additions to its Transformer Book series, with the T100HA and TP200.

The T100HA is the successor to the T100 model, and features a 10.1-inch screen, 14 hours of battery life and comes with Windows 10 pre-installed.

The 11.6-inch Transformer Book Flip TP200 features a 360-degree hinge, a USB 3.1 Type-C port and an eight-hour battery life. Both devices will be available in Q3 2015.
