Exertis to exclusively distribute LG’s new G4 smartphone

Exertis has revealed that it will now be exclusively distributing LG’s new G4 smartphone.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and will be available from the end of May in the UK.

Simon Woodman, mobile sales director for Exertis, said: “Exertis is proud to be the only UK distributor to work with this premium end device and we’re excited to be able to launch the LG G4 into the UK.”

The G4 features a leather backing, a F1.8 aperture lens, a 5.5 inch IPS Quantum Display and a 3,000mAh battery.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with X10 LTE powers the G4, while Google Office comes pre-installed with an additional 100GB of Google Drive storage free for two years.

With MirrorLink and LG G4, drivers of Volkswagen vehicles will also be able to view a car-friendly version of the G4 interface on the in-dash display for integration with contacts, navigation and music on the smartphone.

Andrew Coughlin, head of mobile at LG, added: “It’s great to have Exertis on board to bring the G4 to the British market.

“We see this smartphone being popular with a multitude of users, from consumer through to business; it has everything anyone could need.”

The LG G4 is available in metallic grey, ceramic white, and gold plus luxury genuine leather in black and brown. It will first start its global rollout on April 29th in Korea and will eventually be available on around 180 carriers worldwide.

This news comes after Exertis revealed plans to restructure its business unit

As a result the distrubitor also announced its new team members who will run the new units.
