Tech Data’s specialist enterprise infrastructure, data centre, software, services and cloud business unit, Azlan, has been named Cisco UK and Ireland’s Distributor of the Year for 2014.
The award recognises the contribution made by Azlan over the past year in developing business with Cisco partners.
For the 12 months to July 2014, Azlan UK was Cisco’s fastest-growing distributor in commercial solutions and achieved double-digit year-on-year growth with Cisco overall. Azlan invested in its Cisco team, expanding its team of data centre specialists and also its technical, services and internal sales resources.
“Azlan is honoured to have been named Cisco Distributor of the Year for 2014. This is a reflection of the innovation and drive of our highly-focused team and the tremendous strides we have made in developing Cisco commercial business,” said Gary Lloyd, Cisco business unit director at Azlan.
“We will keep on investing in our teams and our resources to ensure Azlan leads the way in Cisco value distribution and in supporting Cisco partners, MSPs and cloud services resellers.”
In other Tech Data news, the distributor has launched its NAS Configurator – an online tool that enables resellers and retailers to quickly search for and identify network-attached storage products and storage options to suit the different needs of their customers.
The configurator provides a set of options for populating the extensive range of NAS solutions offered by Tech Data from leading vendors such as Western Digital, Buffalo Technology, D-Link, NETGEAR, Synology, and ZyXEL. It can be used to select the drives for populated solutions of all sizes of devices – from single-drive units up to fully populated 16-bay NAS systems.
A full range of internal disk drive options from leading storage vendors Seagate and Western Digital, with capacities ranging from 2TB up to as much as 16TB, are available within the configurator. In addition, resellers can select the perfect drive for the vertical applicable.
