Salesforce is worth almost $50 million

Microsoft to acquire cloud company Salesforce?

Microsoft may be considering buying cloud CRM company Salesforce.com.

This news comes after last month’s report that Salesforce.com was an acquisition target for an unamed company.

Saleforce.com has a market value of almost $50 million, so the tech giant will have to dig deep to secure an acquisition.

According to Bloomberg, although Microsoft isn’t in talks to acquire Salesforce right now, sources have revealed that Microsoft has long expected it might compete for Salesforce if it was for sale.

Bloomberg also said that the cloud company has already been approached by another potential buyer, and is now working with two investment banks to determine a response.

This news comes after Microsoft launched a new public preview of Office 2016.

The tech company revealed that the new build will allow users to save and sync documents directly to the cloud.
