We shine the spotlight on four of our finalists in the new PCR Rising Stars Awards

PCR RISING STARS: Iain Bristow, Kieran Vineer, Nabil Hadi & Suzanne McNicholas

As we build towards the PCR Rising Stars awards event this summer, we will profile those in the running for these new accolades.

This week, we take a look at AMD’s Iain Bristow, TP-Link’s Kieran Vineer, Ingram Micro’s Nabil Hadi and Enta’s Suzanne McNicholas.

Iain Bristow, PR Manager, AMD

Bristow (pictured top left) joined AMD in 2011 as the marketing and PR manager for the UK and the Netherlands. Since then he has risen to the position of PR Manager EMEA.

Prior to joining AMD he worked at ASUS UK, initially in a technical PR, before being promoted to lead the Open Platform marketing and PR function. He’s already got a number of accolades under his belt, including two AMD Way Awards, while he’s been listed in PCR’s 30 Under 30 no fewer than six times.

Outside of the office, he enjoys games, in particular Dragon Age titles, and describes himself as a ‘gym enthusiast’.

Kieran Vineer, Senior VAR Channel Account Manager, TP-Link

Vineer (pictured bottom left) joined TP-Link in 2013, having previously boasted stints at Computer 2000/TechData and Micro-P.

An enthusiastic sales person, he is experienced in field sales, account management and new business development. A true Rising Star, he’s been headhunted for his last two positions, demonstrating his reputation within the business and aiding his long-term goal of becoming a country manager for a leading brand in the UK.

Away from work, Vineer enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and is a keen golfer.

Nabil Hadi, Business Manager, ProAV/Digital Signage, Ingram Micro

Hadi (pictured bottom right) was one of the first recruits for the newly-formed ProAV division at Ingram Micro, initially as a product manager. However within a year he quickly moved up to become one of the youngest business managers at the company.

He joined Ingram Micro directly from university, although there he demonstrated his business drive by founding a student travel company. And since finding himself at Ingram, he’s been promoted three times within a two-year period and was also one of six selected by the senior leadership team for a six-month development programme.

In his spare time, Hadi enjoys playing and watching football and also finds time to support the local town planning team at Milton Keynes.

Suzanne McNicholas, Marketing Executive, Entatech

McNicholas (pictured top right) has worked in marketing roles for the past seven years, across a number of different industries including lift trucks and LGV training and accreditation. As she says, very different to the IT sector!

Amongst her particular skillsets, she claims to be the ‘ultimate organiser’, but is also incredibly creative, thanks to her university background in Fine Art. She’s also a very popular individual in the industry.

Her key highlights over the past year have been winning the Marketing and PR category at the PCR Awards, and hosting the EntaLive Play event in August last year.

Away from her desk, McNicholas is a self-confessed movie buff, heading to the cinema five times a month. She’s also a keen amateur artist and completes commissions throughout the year. She’s exhibited twice in 2014 at an art gallery in California, too, and hopes to one day have her own solo exhibition.
