Asus celebrates 20th anniversary with Gold Edition graphics card

Asus has released a limited 20th anniversary Gold Edition GTX 980 graphics card.

The vendor said that the card is the fastest GTX 980 yet.

The card is capable of handling up to 350 watts, and is powered by a 14-phase super alloy power VRM. It boasts a 1,317 MHz base clock and 1,431 MHz boost clock, with 4GB of memory.

Asus offers a memory defroster function plus a VBIOS safe mode button, enabling the user to reset any frequency and voltage changes.

The tech company has said that the card has “loads of headroom for experimental performance tuning”, according to Hexus. Plus the GPU is apparently runs completely silently.

Alongside the Gold Edition GPU, Asus has also released a special white edition Turbo Series graphics card, featuring an innovative blower design for improved scalable link interface.
