John Lewis has best reputation among EMEA retailers

The Reputation Institute has announced that UK retailer John Lewis has the best reputation among EMEA retailers across 16 countries.

Matas (Denmark), Tods (Italy), Dunelm (UK) and Zegna (Italy) round out the top five retailers with the highest reputation.

The companies that have shown the most improvement between 2013 and 2014 were Pingo Doce, WH Smith and H&M, while those which showed the steepest decline were Marks & Spencer, Giorgio Armani and Primark.

Nicolas Georges Trad, executive partner at the Reputation Institute, said: “I congratulate these retail companies on their excellent reputations.

“Our studies show that reputation dramatically influences a company’s business results, including stock value, revenue, market share and the likelihood of support from key stakeholders.

“It will be to see how the industry and this year’s top retailers fare in our 2015 National RepTrak studies to be published in May 2015.”

The RepTrak is the world’s largest reputation study, which looks at what it takes for a retailer to earn the trust and respect of its customers.
