Promises to 'transform' home computing

New Hannspree tech that turns PCs into Android devices is exclusive to Enta

Distributor Entatech has announced the release of Hannspree’s Android Box, which turns a regular PC display into an Android device.

The Android Box has been built to partner with the HannsG series of Touch screen monitors, meaning users can enjoy the tablet experience on a much larger screen.

Users also have access to the Android app market, meaning they can play games, make calls, surf the web or update social media. What you can do on a tablet, you can now do on your PC screen.

Enterprise clients looking for a digital signage solution can also install a specific kiosk web browser application that locks down the interface, so that users can adjust the Android system settings.

The Android Box is powered by a 1.6GHz Quad-Core processor with 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a micro SD slot to expand the internal memory up to 32GB, and HDMI connectivity.

It has integrated Wi-Fi, is Bluetooth enabled and boasts Miracast Tech, which allows the user to stream video between devices without the need for cables or a network connection.

Hannspree’s Android Box is available for £69.99 through Entatech, and comes with two years’ warranty. HannsG’s Touch screen monitors start from £150.
