The PCR Rising Stars awards will take place on Thursday June 18th at Sway Bar, London and is an extension of the popular 30 Under 30 feature published in PCR annually.
The latest 30 Under 30 were announced in February with the individuals highlighted representing all sectors of the PC and tech channel. The PCR Rising Stars awards will now award three of them in the following categories:-
Retail & Distribution
Vendors (Hardware, Software & Components)
PR, Marketing & Research
HOW IT WORKS
PCR will ask each of the 30 Under 30 to provide additional information for their entry in the awards. We will also contact their bosses to get a testimonial/reference. This information will be passed on to the judging panel.
The judging panel will be made up of leading recruitment specialists and HR executives.
The winners will be announced at an informal awards event on the evening of Thursday June 18th at Sway Bar, Holborn.
The PCR Rising Stars awards will take part during London Technology Week, a week of events celebrating London’s global position as a hotbed of tech innovation, business successes, entrepreneurship and creative talent.
In 2014, more than 40,000 people from over 40 countries came together for 203 events held at venues across the capital. Events ranged from large international conferences to intimate workshops, face-to-face investor meetings, pitching competitions and hackathons, covering a huge variety of topics including gaming, big data, IT, wearables, education, music, sport, fashion, finance and science.
“Our 30 Under 30 feature has been an incredibly popular fixture on our editorial calendar for many years, so it made sense for us to create a live event around it,” said PCR publisher Andrew Wooden.
“And we’re delighted to be hosting the awards as part of London Technology Week, which is a fantastic series of events highlighting London’s importance in the tech world.”
