Pet owners can now track their companions thanks to Haier’s new connected collar.
The company has showcased the collar at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.
The device features a microphone and a speaker, and an SOS button that can be used to contact the owner if their furry friend gets lost.
Used with a smartphone app, users can define a ‘safe zone’ for their pet and receive alerts when it leaves the area.
GPS tracking technology is also available with the collar, with multi-day location history and the capability to retrace where a user’s pet has been during the day.
Availability of the collar is to be announced at a later date, along with pricing.
Other products showcased at MWC from Haier included a smartwatch for children and a connected watch for seniors.
