Microsoft discounts Surface Pro 3 in UK

Microsoft has dropped the price of its Surface Pro 3 in the UK, offering up to £250 off the device.

The deal will be available on purchases made from today until March 1st.

In the US the firm is discounting the product to $699, and is also offering customers up to $650 towards the purchase of the Surface, when customers trade in an old version of the device.

Microsoft will be extending the discounted offer until February 28th, while the trade-in programme will run until March 8th.

PCR spoke to Microsoft, and there is no word of the trade-in programme coming to the UK as yet. 

Here is a list of where customers can get their hands on one of the discounted Pro’s: 

i5 128GB is £769 (saving of £80) – MSStore, PC World, Currys, John Lewis
i5 256GB is £949 (saving of £160) – MSStore, PC World, Currys,
i7 256GB is £1129 (saving of £210) – MS Store, PC World, Currys, John Lewis
i7 512GB is £1399 (saving of £250) – MSStore, John Lewis

Customers can trade-in the Surface 2, Surface Pro 2 or Surface Pro 3 devices to receive a discount on a new device of up to $650.

This news comes after Microsoft settled its dispute with Samsung over royalties for Android devices.

The clash began after Microsoft took Samsung to court over a contract regarding Android loyalty payments.
