Robot vacuum cleaner eats sleeping woman’s hair

A robot vacuum cleaner tried to eat a South Korean woman’s head and hair, according to reports.

The woman was taking a nap on the floor of her home, when the cleaner attempted to suck up her hair.

The 52-year-old woman, who lives in Changwon city, was unable to free herself and had to call for aid from the local fire department.

Korean outlet The Kyunghyang Shinmum reports that the vacuum was only obeying its programming.

The woman managed to escape without any serious injuries after she was freed from the clutches of her vacuum cleaner.

In other robot news, a robot-staffed hotel will open this summer in the Netherlands-themed Huis Ten Bosch amusement park in Nagasaki, Japan.

Guests can stay for $60 a night, where robots will check them in, carry bags, make coffee, deliver laundry and clean rooms.
