John Lewis hints at launching more own-brand tech products

Retailer John Lewis has teased the idea that it may launch new own-brand tech products in an interview with PCR.

The company launched its first own-brand smart TV last year.

When asked would it consider launching its own label computing products such as tablets, John Lewis’ tablet and computing buyer William Jones said: "Our own-brand electrical proposition is well established now, with fantastic success in white goods and audio over the last few years.

"We introduced our first John Lewis Smart TV last year and have been thrilled by the response to it – so watch this space to see where we take our own brand products in 2015.

"The key inspiration for us that the range is ‘thoughtfully designed for our customers’ so we are very discerning on the products that carry our brand."
