Rumours and speculative info around AMD’s expected 300-series range of graphics cards have hit the web.
A report from 3Dcenter.org claims that there will be nine cards in the line-up which are due to roll out this year.
The lower-end AMD Radeon R7 360 and 360X (Trinidad GPU) are allegedly due in March, with the R9 370 and 370X (Tonga GPU), R9 380 and 380X (Grenada GPU), and the R9 390 and 390X (Fiji GPU) apparently arriving at the end of Q2 this year.
A high-end dual-chip AMD Radeon R9 395X2 (Bermuda GPU) is also expected to launch in autumn/winter this year.
Videocardz.com is also reporting a mid-to-high-end R9 385X (Fiji GPU) will complete the line-up.
PC gamers and enthusiasts are hotly anticipating AMD’s next graphics card range after rival Nvidia launched its hugely successful GeForce GTX 970 and 980 late last year, which were hit by stock shortages due to high demand.
However, the 970 was rocked by a memory ‘problem’ which sparked some user complaints. Nvidia also launched a cheaper and less powerful 960 card earlier this year.
AMD has not yet announced a new graphics card line-up but it’s likely it will do so in the near future.
