Dixons Carphone has hinted it may stock the Apple Watch.
During the company’s Christmas trading statement, CEO Sebastian James, revealed that the Apple Watch may be available from the company as soon as Easter.
During the company’s press breifing, following its Christmas trading statement, James said: “Its not a particular unusual mix for us.
“We get the normal spring phone launches of course, so we expect to see launches from Samsung, HTC and others, and actually we might well see the iWatch.”
James also attended CES this year, where HD and 4K TVs were one of the main highlights.
James told PCR: “The core themes were ultra High Definition TVs, the 4K TVs and I even saw an 8K TV that LG had made, a rather amazing machine. Maybe that’s the future."
“My favourite gadget from CES was the Air Dog Drone, which is a drone where you can strap a wireless leash to your wrist and the drone will then follow you, keeping you in a center frame of its camera no matter what you do.”
The firm, which owns tech giants Currys and PC World, also revealed its Christmas trading statement for the nine weeks ending January 3rd 2015.
The group reported that its like-for-like sales rose by seven per cent for the Christmas trading period.
