AOC and Philips have been named the joint European number one monitor vendors in the 27-inch segment during Q3 2014.
The pair say they have achieved growth in the Western European monitor market for six quarters in a row – outperforming the market by six per cent in Q3 2014 – and tripling their market share over the past five years.
Overall, the monitor market in Europe remained stable in 2014, following an increase in the first two quarters and a minor decrease in the latter part of the year, with difficulties in some Eastern European countries.
AOC and MMD, license partner for Philips monitors (and subsidiaries of display manufacturer TPV) said they continued ‘successfully’ in their growth strategy.
In the UK and Ireland, AOC and Philips currently hold the number three position in the overall market for monitors (including the 27-inch segment) according to Context data.
“We are very satisfied and proud that our continuous focus on innovation and our customer centric approach shows its positive results in our market shares”, commented Thomas Schade, Vice President EMEA at AOC and MMD.
“Our aim is always to drive the market with innovation and to be in the forefront of a development. Very early we invested in the segment of large screens and higher resolutions, which increase the users’ productivity. Now we can see that our forward looking strategy pays off."
