McDonald’s offers wireless charging in UK stores

McDonald’s is set to offer wireless charging in more than 50 of its UK restaurants.

The company has signed a deal with Aircharge, a wireless charging solutions company, bringing 600 chargers to various stores across the UK.

The fast food giant will be including Qi wireless charging, which is compatible with different smartphones, including the Nexus 9 and the Nokia Lumia.

Aircharge will also be deploying its wireless charging receivers for those customers who need a microUSB or Lightning cable.

Starbucks is also rolling out a similar service in the US, but the company is instead using Duracell’s Powermat PMA technology.
