In PCR’s last new product roundup of the year, there’s AOC flicker-free monitors, a Belkin Insight Switch, details of upcoming Philips 4K/laser tech and more.

They promise to combat health concerns such as retinal stress and macular degeneration, AOC’s Anti-Blue Light technology reduces harmful blue light by over 90 per cent without affecting colour fidelity, while the Flicker-Free tech prevents users from eye fatigue.

The E2276VWM6 and E2476VWM6 displays are available in stores now at an RRP of £109 and £129 respectively. The news comes as AOC launches a new website over at www.aoc-europe.com.

Elsewhere, MMD, the tech company and brand license partner for Philips Monitors, has introduced a new 27-inch IPS display that combines glossy-white Moda design visuals with sound from integrated 7watt speakers as well as Bluetooth connectivity to stream music.

The outer bezel thickness measures no more than 2.5 mm, and the in-panel black matrix strip is just 3.5 mm wide. With Full HD widescreen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, the display supports the highest HD resolution. The new Philips Brilliance 275C5QHAW display is out now with a £279 SRP.

Additionally, Belkin has announced the UK availability of the WeMo Insight Switch, which promises to ‘revolutionise smart home innovation’ by allowing users to control and manage the energy usage and costs of home electronics from anywhere through their iOS or Android devices. The Insight Switch is a Wi-Fi enabled compact plug that also allows users to put their devices on a schedule and receive notifications anytime a connected unit is turned on or off.

The device is priced at £49.99 and is available now.

Finally, Panasonic has teased new technology which will be shown off at CES in Las Vegas in January. It will showcase the latest in 4K and laser technology, as well as visual solutions aimed at a range of industry verticals.

Among the products promised at this year’s show are a pixel quadrupling 4K projector, laser projectors that achieve ‘industry leading brightness’ and a successor to the PT-DZ21K high brightness projector.

Panasonic will also showcase its newly developed remote monitoring and managed service solution – demonstrating results of a trial with a top UK University, which used Panasonic’s own Early Warning System, connected with M2M technology.
