Samsung launches new curved monitor

Samsung has launched its latest curved PC monitor.

The new 34-inch curved HD monitor SE790C comes with a radius of 3,000mm and features a 21:9 aspect ratio and ULTRA-WQHD resolution of 3440×1440.

It comes equipped with Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture 2.0 functions and allows users to connect to various other devices including laptops and desktops.

Four USB 3.0 ports are included, as well as entertainment functions such as game mode, stereo sound and a fast response time.

Samsung previously launched a 27-inch curved monitor.

Graham Long, VP of enterprise business at Samsung, said: “Samsung’s SE790C display offers an industry-leading and award-winning curved screen for the most amazing viewing experience.

“Its superior picture quality, productivity and entertainment-enhancing features combined with its design means Samsung’s latest curved monitor truly pushes the limits of what a display can deliver.”

Samsung has also released details of its first AMD FreeSync PC monitors. The monitors will be available in 27, 28 and 31.5-inch variants, which will feature anti-screen-tearing. 

This news comes after Samsung revealed its top five tech predictions for 2015.

Samsung’s CEO will also deliver a keynote speech at the CES trade show in January next year.
