Brit launches BTXDeals, the first Bitcoin online marketplace

A British entrepreneur has announced the launch of BTXDeals, a Bitcoin online marketplace.

Nick Boardman is responsible for the start-up, which will offer customers a cost-per-sale with no additional charges or fees.

Vendors will also be able to receive payments in either Bitcoins or GDP Sterling, plus the base price of goods is set in GBP Sterling and is updated every 10 minutes based on the exchange rate of Bitpay.

Nick Boardman, CEO and founder of BTXDeals, said: “As the first of its kind, BTXDeals embraces the potential of Bitcoin and provides a safe, secure and transparent form of online shopping that puts the power in the hands of the consumer.”

The marketplace has already secured a number of vendors across a range of industries.

Boardman added: “We’re passionate about the potential of this virtual currency and believe it will become the future for all e-commerce transactions.”

This news comes after Microsoft accepted the virtual currency in its online Windows and Xbox stores.

Retailers are also taking on Bitcoin, including Scan computers which was the first UK PC retailer to take it on.
