Apple has introduced support for PayPal on its online store for UK and US shoppers.
PayPal was previously only available in Apple’s App and content stores, but now users will be able to make purchases via the online store with their available PayPal balances.
According to Re/code, Apple is also promoting PayPal’s financing scheme that allows customers to pay for their purchases in 18 monthly installments, with a minimum order of $250.
Apple’s support page reads: “Apply for a monthly payment plan with PayPal Credit.”
Payments with PayPal can be made today, where customers can purchase a range of Apple devices including the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
This news comes after Apple launched its own contactless payment service, Apple Pay in the US, earlier this year. The payment allows iPhone 6 users to purchase items by touching their device on a scanner in stores, and so far over 220,000 stores and apps are accepting the payment option.
