HP has expanded its line of laptops with the EliteBook 1020, a new notebook designed for the enterprise market.
It will be available in two editions: the EliteBook 1020, which weighs 1.2kg, and the EliteBook 1020 special edition, which weighs 1kg.
The notebook is 15.7mm thick and has been created with a blend of magnesium-lithium alloy and carbon fiber.
It comes with up to nine hours of battery life and has been designed to withstand drops, shocks and exposure to extreme temperatures.
It features a high-resolution 12.5-inch diagonal Quad HD display, a 720p webcam and an optional touchscreen is available.
Merce Barcons, VP of the commercial personal systems and printing and personal systems group at HP EMEA, said: “The HP EliteBook 1020 represents game-changing innovation in both materials and mechanical engineering to create the world’s thinnest and lightest business notebooks.”
Availability for the EliteBook 1020 will start in February, while the special edition variant will launch in March, with pricing to be set closer to its release date.
This news comes after the firm unveiled the Sprout PC, which will feature a 4th generation Intel i7 Processor.
However, UK pricing for the HP Sprout is not expected until February.
