Shoppers can choose from a range of over 150 cameras, lenses and accessories

Jessops launches camera rental service

Jessops has unveiled a number of new services, included the option to rent a camera.

The retailer is now offering its customers the opportunity to try before they buy. Shoppers can choose from a range of over 150 cameras, lenses and accessories and get them delivered direct to their door or collect them from a Jessops store.

As well as this, Jessops has launched a new trade-in service. Customers can trade in their old camera (depending on its condition) for any new camera worth over £300.

The service is offered in all Jessops stores, as well as at jessops.com.

The third new service to come from the retailer is sensor cleaning.

Jessops will now safely remove dust or dirt from camera sensors for interchangeable lens cameras. It will set customers back £30 for a two-day service.

Last month, Jessops reported that it had returned to profit, reaching sales of over £56 million, with an operating profit of £280,000.

Jessops collapsed in 2013, closing all of its previous stores, but was reborn with Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones CBE at the helm.
