The distributor will handle Iris’ scanner range within the UK

Tech Data and Iris announce partnership

Distributor Tech Data has revealed that it will be responsible for distributing Iris’ range of portable scanners.

The range includes A4 scanners and wireless units including the IrisNotes Executive 2 digital pen, which converts handwriting into digital text.

There are also devices that are designed to scan pages from books, which run on built-in or standard AAA batteries.

Mark Glasspool, director of printing, PC components and accessories at Tech Data, said: “It’s a really excellent line-up that has something for every kind of user.

“Iris’ products are really attractive and broad in terms of their appeal, so we are expecting to see healthy demand for them from retailers and online sellers.”

Tech Data is also working with Iris on a range of promotional market activities to help support reseller, retailer and website sales.

The full range of products will be available in the UK.

This news comes after the distributor announced plans to target the education sector after teaming up with Google’s Chrome Management Console (CMC) solution.
