Microsoft and Entatech team up to provide migration service

Enta praises ‘simplest’ Windows Server 2003 migration tool

Double-Take Move will help businesses migrate from Microsoft Windows Server 2003 once support for the service ends July 14th 2015.

Vision Solutions’ migration software Double-Take Move is Azure Certified.

Entatech has also confirmed itself as the distributor for this product, and says that the ROI opportunities for IT professionals and in-house teams ‘is huge’, as the software can be loaded and left to run by itself.

Double-Take will provide businesses with ‘real time migration’ meaning staff can continue working throughout the day while the migration process takes place.

Its agnostic platform compatibility also means that the software can work on any platform as it helps to migrate data.

Steven Parker, marketing manager at Entatech, said: “Serious business owners have already upgraded, and even the less proactive are preparing themselves for the inevitable barrage of problems, as Microsoft ceases to provide patches and safety support.

"The solution is being hailed as the simplest, most cost-effective migration process on the market. Don’t let the Azure certification tag confuse you either – users looking to upgrade from VMWare will find Move is just as effective in upgrading to Hyper-V."

Ellie Farley, Microsoft product specialist at Entatech, added: "When we were first introduced to the flexibility of Double-Take Move, we saw the opportunities for consultants and resellers straight away. Our staff have been fully trained on the software, and the ability to buddy up with Microsoft and Fujitsu has been a real coup.

"I’m talking to resellers every day, and they are all looking for migration solutions. With Double-Take we have the perfect offering."
