Toshiba has announced an update to its Chromebook line as well as the launch of a mini version of its Encore tablet.
The Chromebook 2 is a 13.3-inch device with a choice of a Full HD IPS or non-reflective HD screen.
It has stereo speakers tuned by Skullcandy and an extended battery life of up to 11.5 hours.
Weighing just 1.35 kg, and featuring a thin tapered chassis, Toshiba’s Chromebook 2 is designed for travelling. Users will also get 100GB of free cloud storage via the pre-installed Google Drive.
Here are the full specs for the Chromebook 2, which will be available in the UK during the first quarter of 2015:

Toshiba has also updated its Encore tablet range with the 7-inch Encore Mini.
Featuring Windows 8.1, the tablet comes with Bing and Microsoft Office 365 Personal.
With 1TB of OneDrive online storage included for free, there is also the option of adding more. Users will also get 60 Skype world minutes per month.
The storage capability of the Encore Mini can be expanded via a microSD card slot, compatible with microSD cards up to 128GB.
The Toshiba Encore Mini will be available in the UK during the fourth quarter of 2014. Here are the full specs for the device:
