Acer Aspire E1 touchscreen laptop now available through distributor

Exertis Micro-P signs Acer exclusive, grows graduate scheme

Distributor Exertis Micro-P has secured exclusive distribution rights for the Acer Aspire E1-510P 15.6-inch Touchscreen laptop – NX.MH1EK.001 – and grown its graduate scheme.

The device is slim enough to slip into a backpack or briefcase, has an Intel processor, Windows 8.1, a HD touchscreen and a built-in DVD player, plus an M-Disc Ready Drive that can preserve valuable data or precious memories.

Simon Barnard, computing general manager at Exertis Micro-P, said: “Acer has timed the availability of the Aspire E1 perfectly. With demand for touchscreen devices growing as users realise their many benefits, Acer has introduced a product that marries the latest in desirable touchscreen technology with high performance and class-leading image quality. We are excited to be able to offer this excellent product to our reseller partners, and we look forward to helping them make it a hit with their customers.”

Additionally, Exertis Micro-P has announced that it has appointed 13 newcomers to the 2014 Sales Graduate Programme. The 13 successful applicants were selected from a pool of nearly 40 shortlisted candidates, who were invited to attend an assessment centre at the Basingstoke office – where the new recruits will be based.

The 2014 Programme is expected to build on the success of the 2013 scheme which saw 11 new graduates recruited into sales, 10 of which are still within the business having secured permanent positions within many of the various sales divisions.

The learning and development manager at Exertis Micro-P, Lyndsey Rathor, commented: “We see our investment in graduates as an important step towards becoming the number one distributor in the UK. The way in which we recruit and induct a group of graduates at one time allows us to train and develop them according to our business values and ensures that all of our training is context specific.

"They follow a robust induction process which includes sales training endorsed by ISMM, systems training and product training. Having the support of the group and the dedicated focus of the learning and development team helps them to be successful. In turn we can nurture, develop and retain some of the best talent in the industry.”
