Images suggest the Z3 will have a 5-inch, 1080p display

Sony Z3 smartphone images leaked

Images of Sony’s highly anticipated Z3 smartphone have been leaked, displaying a relatively similar style to its predecessor, the Z2.

The images come after a Baidu Tieba post was published, which revealed that the new design included softer, curved edges compared to the previous harder styles, along with a more powerful 2.5-GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset.

The sides also feature a variety of ports including, microSIM, microUSB and microSD, while a magnetic connector allows users to attach the phone to docking speakers.

Looking at images shows that the same 20.7 megapixel sensor camera used on the Z2 has been replicated for this new phone.

It has also been compared to the original Galaxy Note, with images leaked of the two smartphones side-by-side. The large screen of the Note suggests the narrower body of the Z3 will be around 5-inches wide, with a 1080p screen.

The Sony Xperia Z3 will allegedly be showcased in Berlin at the IFA trade show this September, so until then we will have to wait and see what other elements the smartphone will feature.
