Doom trailer teases QuakeCon reveal

The next instalment in the Doom series has been teased, with further details outlined for the upcoming QuakeCon event.

The short trailer for the rebooted PC classic shows a visual overhaul of one of the franchise’s most well-known enemies – the bio-mechanical Cyberdemon.

More details are said to be set for reveal at the annual QuakeCon event, hosted by publisher ZeniMax Media to celebrate Doom, Quake and other titles from ZeniMax’s id Software development arm.

QuakeCon 2014 will take place between July 17th and 20th.

A beta has already been announced for Doom, with gamers who pre-ordered the next-gen debut of similar PC classic Wolfenstein: The New Order the first set to descend into the game’s dark world.

The currently undated beta will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
