PC version to feature video editor and ability to carry across online character progression

Grand Theft Auto V coming to PC

Smash-hit video game Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) is to finally land on PC later this year.

Revealed as part of Sony’s press conference at video game trade show E3, the open-world crime title will also see a release on the next-gen PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Console players will be able to transfer their PS3 and Xbox 360 saves to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, while Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression can be synced between the old and new consoles, as well as PC.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will additionally feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.

Grand Theft Auto V was originally released exclusively on PS3 and Xbox 360 late last year, breaking seven world records – including the record for the fastest-selling video game ever, selling 29 million copies in its first six weeks.

A PC version of the game was predicted by many, and even led to the creation of petitions calling for a PC port of the game.
