PC gaming accessory vendor Cooler Master has launched its new Quick Fire Rapid-i keyboard in the UK.
The backlit mechanical keyboard has custom keyboard illumination and unique lighting effects in a small TKL (tenkeyless) form factor.
Powered by a 32-bit ARM processor, the Rapid-i’s ActivLite Technology incorporates five lighting modes with five brightness levels. For example, the backlighting can illuminate upon each key press and fade softly as the user’s fingers move on to the next key. More backlight modes will be added for the Rapid-i in the future.
ActivLite also allows users to individually program keys for unique game and application uses, while the onboard memory makes it possible to save profiles that store up to four different presets.
The keyboard has a response time of 1ms and features Cherry MX Switches, multimedia shortcuts and N Key Rollover (NKRO). Gamers can activate as many keys on the keyboard simultaneously as needed.
An included removable braided USB cable also makes the keyboard ideal for gamers on the move.
The Rapid-i has an £89.99 price tag and is available to order in the UK now.
