70 per cent of our waking day is spent in a trance

‘If you can relax your customers, they are more likely to buy’

At this year’s PCR Boot Camp, Harley Street hypnotist Frank Deer revealed how retailers can sell to the subconscious.

Deer revealed that 70 per cent of our waking day is spent in a trance.

The brain is constantly switching between the conscious and the subconscious. But what does this have to do with retail?

“The impulse purchase is controlled by the subconscious,” explained Deer.

“If a sales person can recognise the trance they can sell to the subconscious.

“If you can relax your customers, they are more likely to buy.”

Deer then went on to demonstrate how easy it is to take control of someone’s subconscious by inviting a number of volunteers up onto the stage.

He appeared to easily hypnotise the selection. Check out @PCR_online to see some of the amusing pictures.
