Jessops snaps up exclusive Olympus camera

Jessops has begun selling the Olympus OM-D E-M10 compact camera priced at £599.99 exclusively in its stores and online.

Weighing in at less than 400g, the the E-M10 is housed in an all-metal body with an M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens attached, the E-M10 only measures 63.9mm from the viewfinder to the rim of the lens.

It features an EVF (electronic viewfinder) and a ‘FAST’ auto focus, plus it comes with built-in WiFi so it can communicate with compatible smartphones and send images directly to websites and social media. Users can also control the camera using a smartphone as a remote control. 

The E-M10 also has an adjustable LCD screen, a silent shutter and is available in black or silver.

“We get many customers in store, both beginners and pros, who want to make documentaries and shorts on the go without carrying around all the equipment. The OM-D E-M10 solves this solution for filmmakers as it can make high quality HD movies, irrespective of the lens attached to the camera and the lighting conditions,” said Rachel Sgro, manager at Jessops’ London Oxford Street store.

Jessops also offers one-to-one training sessions from £39.
