LG releases G Watch promo video and three new G Pad tablets

LG has unveiled an official video for its upcoming wearable tech device, the G Watch.

The video shows that the watch will be waterproof, have a metal strap, five-pin connector and will come with Android Ware operating system.

LG previously revealed that G Watch will come in two versions, ‘stealth black’ and ‘champagne gold’.

It will also have a 1.85-inch always-on display and 4GB of internal memory.

Due out in July, the G Watch will have a starting price of £180.

LG has also announced three new G Pad tablets.

The G Pad 7.0, G Pad 8.0, and G Pad 10.1 now join the series alongside the G Pad 8.3.

While LG has stated that details about the tablets will be announced “in the weeks ahead”, we do know that the three devices will feature Knock Code, which lets you unlock the device with a combination of taps, and GPair, which enables you to connect to an Android smartphone and see notifications on the tablet.

“We designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritise portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible,” said president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Jong-seok Park.
