We questioned Plantronics’ Ian Stevenson about their presence at this year’s event and what sets them apart.
PCR: What products and services will you be promoting at Boot Camp this year?
Ian Stevenson: Our new Backbeat Fit Stereo Headset as well as our Multi-Platform Gaming Headset – RIG. Our key lines include Plantronics Mobile and Gaming products.
We’re looking forward to meeting potential new customers and being able to highlight our new range.
What do you see being the biggest challenge facing PC retailers at the moment?
The threat from the growth of the online retailers versus traditional bricks and mortar.
In your opinion, what’s the most important thing for retailers and resellers to bear in mind when dealing with customers?
It’s important to understand the customers’ requirements and then explore the opportunity you have that will help them improve their current situation.
What gadget can’t you live without?
My Plantronics Voyager Legend UC that connects both my mobile and softphone calls all through a single device.
What do you think will be the next big thing in tech?
It has to be the smartwatch.
If you could wave a magic wand, what would you change about the channel?
I would walk into every retailer and see nothing but a sea of Plantronics products everywhere.
