Tweets suggest the device will have a 1.65-inch display

Google smartwatch tipped to have square display and 4GB of storage

Specs for Google’s rival to the Samsung Galaxy Gear have been leaked by @evleaks.

According to the serial-leaker, the Google smartwatch, which is reported to be made in partnership with LG, will feature a 1.65-inch square display with a 280 x 280 pixel resolution – slightly lower than the 320 x 320 pixel display on the Galaxy Gear.

The tweets also reveal that the Google smartwatch will have 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

Last month an image claiming to show a prototype of a Google Motorola smartwatch appeared online.

Codenamed ‘Gem’, observers suggest that the Motorola prototype may have been abandoned in favour of the rumoured Google LG device.
