Distributor Exertis Micro-P has grown its consumer electronics team following increasing demand in the sector.
Jose Alvite (left) and Chris Martin (right) have been appointed consumer electronics business manager and audio products business manager respectively. They will report in to the general manager of Exertis Micro-P’s Consumer Electronics Division, Caroline Hope.
Their appointments are effective immediately and they will be based at Exertis Micro-P’s Basingstoke office.
Martin has a wealth of experience in the consumer electronics industry, with both Telco and manufacturing sector knowledge. He will be responsible for managing the existing portfolio of audio brands as well as identifying new brands to introduce to the UK market.
Alvite has experience in managing large franchises within distribution and resellers, and will aim to seek, drive and support new product categories.
Hope said: “Chris and Jose’s appointments reflect the increased demand Exertis Micro-P has generated from its partner community for the products available from its specialist consumer electronics team. Recently, it has enjoyed excellent growth with its TV and audio brands, partly driven by consumers’ rising interest in the connected and automated home.

Jose Alvite added: “In my new role, my 17 years of experience in distribution and reseller experience will be invested in developing and growing this key area of business.
