The 'Acer Promise' has been extended across pro desktop, notebook and tablet ranges

Acer offers 50% refunds and free fixes on faulty PCs, accepts trade-ins

PC vendor Acer is promising customers it will fix a PC if it develops a fault in the first year, and refund 50 per cent of the price.

It has extended its ‘Acer Promise’ programme to cover across professional additional professional desktop, notebook and Windows tablet ranges.

As well as the ‘Reliability Promise’ outlined above, Acer allows customers to trade in an old PC for a new one and receive cashback, plus if an Acer PC fails within the first 31 days, the customer can contact a UK-based call centre and Acer will replace the product the next business day (known as the ‘Performance Promise’).

Acer also has a ‘Promotion Promise’ – giving users money-saving offers on the professional range.

The reliability and performance promises now apply to all Acer commercial notebooks including the Aspire S7 Pro models, the TravelMate B and P series, the TravelMate X313 series, all Veriton professional desktops and Windows Iconia tablets.

“Acer’s goal is to continue to innovate and build the most reliable products to support SMBs through to the largest enterprise users,” said Marco Andresen, country manager, Acer UK.

“Acer makes high quality products, so in the unlikely event that something does go wrong in the first year, we are committed through the ‘Acer Promise’ programme to replacing or repairing your PC or repair and refund customers 50 per cent for any inconvenience,” he added.

Acer said in a statement: "‘Acer Promise’ is part of the company’s continued and strategic investment in the commercial business segment and targeting enterprise, public sector and SMB customers and aims to set the industry standard for quality and service."
