British firm New Dawn Innovations eyes EMEA with new Bridgette Bardot-inspired product as category grows

Handbag-shaped DAB radio targets fashion-conscious females

British-based audio products vendor New Dawn Innovations has shown off a handbag-style retro DAB radio at Distree 2014 EMEA, dubbed ‘Bardot’ after Bridgette Bardot.

Its other new View Quest branded products, the Hepburn and Retro ranges, are available in a range of colours featuring Blutooth functionality, superior sound quality and up to 25 hours battery life.

View Quest branded products feature ‘contemporary and eye-catching designs’ that take influences from fashion and interiors trends such as those from British designer Emma Bridgewater.

New Dawn Innovations said in a statement: "We are looking to replicate our success within the UK as the company boasts a list of premium retailers such as Apple, Selfridges, Argos, Amazon and Tesco across EMEA, believing there are strong opportunities in many territories including Germany, Benelux, Switzerland and Denmark, as digital radio continues to be rolled out and more consumers are listening to radio more than ever before."

Jonathan Merricks, founder of New Dawn Innovations, added: “We believe the only way to achieve our growth goals across EMEA is to form long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with distributors and retailers.

"We have developed a strong channel strategy in the UK and are now keen to roll this out across each of the key territories. In addition, we will continue to keep ahead of current trends in design and create a portfolio that is as exciting in style as it is advanced in technology."
