Prepaid product provider epay is now providing digital gift card content via PayPal’s Digital Gift store.
PayPal users in the US, UK and Germany can log into their PayPal account online or on their mobile and select from multiple denominations of digital gift codes. They can use funds from their PayPal account to complete the purchase of the digital gift codes, which are instantly available for self-use or can be delivered via email as a gift.
“We are excited to be working with PayPal to offer digital gift codes to their millions of users initially in the US, UK and Germany, and eventually more places around the world,” said Kevin Caponecchi, President of [epay parent company] Euronet Worldwide.
“Our strong relationships with leading global brands and our extensive global presence, together with our recent launches of similar solutions, position epay as a leader in digital gift card technology. We look forward to extending our relationship with PayPal to include more digital gift card brands in more countries in the coming months.”
Patrick Gauthier, PayPal’s Emerging Retail Services General Manager, added: “At PayPal we strive to deliver simplicity, ease of use and security for consumers and merchants.
“Thanks to epay, we are demonstrating this again as we bring the convenience of digital gifts to our customers, and will enable leading brands to connect with millions of PayPal customers worldwide.”
