Every year thousands of Redditors take part in a Secret Santa gift exchange. This year Bill Gates got involved, to the surprise of one iPad fan.
24-year-old Reddit user Rachel received a stuffed cow and National Geographic book from ‘Bill’. It wasn’t until she looked at the included photo that she realised its was from Microsoft chairman Bill Gates.
Gates also donated to the Heifner International charity on behalf of Rachel. The Stuffed cow symbolises part of the charity’s efforts to donate animals to create sustainability in poverty-stricken areas.
Rachel submitted a post on Reddit expressing how grateful she was for the thoughtful gift and added: “Sorry for the Apple iPad on my wishlist, that was really awkward.”
