Intel: ‘PC gaming will benefit from Xbox One and PS4’

PC gaming will only improve thanks to the competition from next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, says Intel’s European games enabling manager Richard Huddy.

Huddy was speaking at the YoYoTech desktop PC launch event where he discussed the bright future of PC gaming.

YoYoTech launches new gaming PCs

PC gaming brand YoYoTech launched its new range of desktops and gaming PCs last Friday – and PCR was on hand taking snaps.

A host of rigs were set up, from the £599.99 Warbird M-Cube 1 to the £7979.79 XDNA Aurum 24K and even a top-of-the-range flight simulator set up.

Apple’s ’12 days of Gifts’ launches

Apple is back with its annual iOS giveaways over the Christmas period.

Previously called ’12 days of Christmas’, the iPhone-maker will be giving away a free App Store download each day from December 26th to January 6th via the official ’12 days of Gifts’ app.

Argos digital stores suffer tech problems

At least two of the retailer’s new-style digital stores have been hit with technology problems.

According to Retail Week, The new Argos stores in London’s Old Street and Chancery Lane have had shoppers gathering outside to pick up reserved goods, only to find the stores were not officially open and their purchases were out of stock.

PCR Awards 2014 finalists revealed

The lobbying has closed and the finalists for the PCR Awards 2014 have been confirmed.

A committee of 100 industry experts will vote on the winners before the event, which takes place on Thursday March 13th at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.
