Q2770Pqu has almost twice the pixel count of ‘conventional Full HD monitors’

AOC reveals 3.6 million pixel ‘Super PLS’ monitor

AOC has unveiled a new ‘Super PLS’ monitor.

The 27-inch q2770Pqu display has over 3.6 million pixels, which AOC says is “nearly twice as much as conventional Full HD models”.

The LED-backlit screen has a Wide Quad High Definition of 2560×1440, with a response time of 5ms.

Super PLS (Plane-to-Line Switching) is designed to provide high brightness and wide viewing angles. The q2770Pqu is said to be able to be viewed from up to 178 degrees, both vertically and horizontally, without a loss of colour stability. It has a luminosity of up to 300 cd/m2, making it suitable for use in highly-lit areas.

Connectivity is provided by VGA, DVI-D, a DisplayPort and several HDMI sockets. It also has built-in speakers and a USB hub integrated into its bezel including two 2.0 and two 3.0 ports.

The q2990Pqu has been awarded with EPEAT Silver, TCO 6.0 and Energy Star 6.0 sustainability certificates, with energy consumption claimed to not exceed 29W. ‘e-Saver’ and ‘Eco Mode’ features are also included.

The AOC q2770Pqu is available now with an MSRP of £429.99. A three-year warranty is included.
