24-inch UP2414Q has resolution of 3840x2160

Dell reveals first 4K monitor

Dell has listed its first 4K monitor on its website.

The Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor – UP2414Q boasts an Ultra HD resolution of 3840×2160, four times that of Full HD.

The 23.8-inch LED monitor also claims to have true colour accuracy thanks to its ‘PremierColor’ technology, with 99 per cent AdobeRPG and 100 per cent sRGB coverage.

‘Ultrawide’ viewing angles mean that the screen can be viewed from up to 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically.

The monitor’s connectivity options include HDMI, DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, four USB 3.0 ports and a 6-in-1 media card reader.

The monitor currently has no price or release date listed, but some observers have suggested that its appearance may also hint at a future 4K monitor from Apple, as the two companies have shared suppliers in the past.
