Acer will release the "industry’s first touchscreen Chromebook" in December – the €299.99 Acer C720P.
It has up to 7.5 hours of battery life and boots up in seven seconds. It features a 32GB SSD, an 11.6-inch HD LED back-lit display with 1366×768 resolution, 2GB of DDR3 memory and is powered by an Intel Celeron 2955U processor based on the Intel Haswell micro-architecture.
The Acer C720 connects to hotspots and wireless networks via 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, boasts an integrated HD webcam and a dual-speaker design, along with USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, and a HDMI port. It measures 2cm and weighs 1.3kg.
The Acer C720 Chromebook will be available in early December in Switzerland, Germany, UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden and Finland with a starting price of €299.99.
Acer recently launched a marketing campaign dubbed ‘A Touch More’ which highlights the company’s growing range of products with touch capabilities.
